Riken® (Riken Corporation Japan) was established in 1927 and has three manufacturing plants in Japan, employing 1545 staff.

Riken® was one of the first Japanese manufactures to use steel piston rings in replacement of cast rings due the high strength of steel. This also allows for thinner and lighter rings with less deformation and ring tension relaxation over time. Steel is also an excellent base material for a variety of surface treatments that reduce friction a prolong ring service life.

A full range of Riken® rings are available from Precision’s Japanese diesel ring program.
